I don’t publish, but for my private things I use word and latex
i like to use this one, octomode, and chattypub and wiki2print.. but also just copy machine and riso, and unfortunately i still sometimes use indesign by adobe octopus… but trying to use it less and less. for commissioned projects it is sometimes expected to use corporate tools. by absolute least favorite tool on this planet is figma
chattypub, html, receiptprinter, but also sometimes Pages, Libre office. Insta still sometimes ( ＾皿＾)

i like the pre- part more then the actual making moment
i like the moment when the design starts making sense.. when the hiearchies of content become clear, when i start understanding the content better (as a mildly dislexic person its very satisfying to make hierachies) i also like the moment when i design together (often with juju) when she does strange glyph magic that totally takes me off guard

to be honest, sometimes (actually often) i am a bit disappointed when a book is finished, printed and bound.. there is no way back anymore and there is always something that could be better
when it doesn’t work
Create a style for your markdown tags in the stylesheet. If someone else is already creating it, take an additive approach. That is, don’t delete what someone created but add to it. ^^^^^
